 CS - Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist

Lutheran Homes Society has an immediate opening for a part-time (approximately 24 hours per week) Physical Therapist. This position will work primarily at our Sandusky campus, with hours/shifts occasionally necessary at other LHS long-term care facilities.

The successful candidate will possess a master's degree and appropriate licensure in the state of Ohio. This individual must have a strong commitment to quality care, with previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Lutheran Homes Society, Inc. is currently searching for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Assistants to build our PRN/contingent pool. We have four long-term care locations (East Toledo, Holland, Sandusky, and Napoleon) where your skills can be utilized.

Coverage during the week is a current need, with weekend coverage needed as well. Successful candidates will be licensed in their appropriate discipline and have a strong commitment to quality care, with previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

 FYS - RT/DC Staff for YYA

Residential Treatment/Direct Care Staff for Youth & Young Adults

LHS Family & Youth Services requires strong, confident staff members, who have the capacity to deal with high-risk youth who have behavioral and emotional difficulties. Youth may experience frequent emotional crises and be assaultive and/or destructive. You must have the skills to verbally de-escalate a crisis and to use mature judgment with a youth who is out of control. You will need leadership skills, milieu management skills, high energy levels, self discipline, a cool approach to volatile situations, reliability, flexibility, and dedication.

We are currently hiring for 2nd shift and 3rd shift (must stay awake through the entire shift) positions. Experience working with high-risk youth, or a background in coaching, military or security is preferred. We are hiring for our facilities in Liberty Center, Ohio. These part-time positions include 8-hour shifts and/or 12-hour shifts, with a weekend rotation and contingent status. We also have 3-11 p.m. shifts available in The Labuhn Center. Candidates must have a valid Ohio LPN license, and previous experience working in a skilled/long-term care facility is strongly preferred.

Lutheran Homes Society is broadening its service line into the home health arena with the introduction of Northwest Ohio Home Care Partners. The expansion has created needs for per diem Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Physical Therapy Assistants.

These positions will provide and direct therapy services to residents, including assessments, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication, primarily in a home care setting. Applicable licensure/certification for the appropriate discipline from an accredited program is required.

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director

Lutheran Homes Society has an immediate opening for a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director for our Toledo (Oregon) campus.  This position is responsible for leading, designing, and overseeing care and services of the campus through a collaborative process with organizational leaders that is reflected in long-range, strategic, and operational plans.

The Executive Director leads and directs initiatives that deliver quality resident care  and support services identified in each service delivery area.  Additionally, this individual facilitates communication methodology to promote objectives and efforts to integrate resident and client care and support service accomplishments throughout the campus.

A bachelor’s degree in health care or business administraton and three to five year of prior experience in health care administration or a related field is required.  A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license is also required. This position requires strong administrative experience, a proven track record of administrative accomplishments and a passion for social ministry. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package.
