As followers of Christ, we are called to do what lies within our power to share burdens that weigh upon the young and the old and to alleviate sorrow and misery in His name.

Who We Are
Lutheran Homes Society is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and recognized by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The Society is comprised of a corporate membership of 165 Lutheran congregations in Northwestern Ohio and Southeastern Michigan. These congregations are represented by 20 individuals who serve on the Board of Directors of the parent corporation, Lutheran Homes Society. These directors constitute the membership of our wholly-owned subsidiaries who are governed by their own boards of trustees.
Lutheran Homes Society is also a member of Lutheran Services in America (LSA) which is an alliance of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and their nearly 300 human service organizations. These members deliver services annually to over three million people regardless of race, religion, gender or creed in three thousand communities across the country.
