Donor Relations

We cherish our donors, knowing they sustain our mission and ministries in so many vital ways. Their support means everything to the children, youth, and elders in our care. We serve our donors by listening to their needs, interests, and concerns for our ministry.

We promise to work with every prospective and current donor in a professional, confidential, and caring fashion, carefully matching donor giving interests to existing and emerging LHS organizational, programmatic, capital, and endowment needs. We also assist first-time and experienced donors in crafting transforming gifts, including planned gifts, bequests, and endowment gifts that will benefit future generations.

We are partners in faith and mission, growing in our service daily. As such, we subscribe to and support the Association of Lutheran Development Executives (ALDE) Donor Bill of Rights and the Association of Health Care Professionals (AHP) Codes of Ethics which are endorsed by other professional organizations such as Council for the Aid and Support of Education (CASE) and National Committee on Planned Giving (NCPG). Together, we can underwrite the future success of Lutheran Homes Society.

Pastor Donald Weiss, Executive Director of LHS Foundation, is responsible for donor relations. Please contact him directly at (419)-861-5511 or dweiss@LHSOH.org regarding your needs, concerns, and intentions. Thank you for remembering Lutheran Homes Society.
