The Johannes Doerfler Fellowship is composed of individuals who have made deferred gifts to LHS Foundation to sustain the Christian mission and caring ministries of Lutheran Homes Society. Their philanthropic generosity and foresight help ensure the future of LHS’s mission of serving children, youth, and elders in need.
Named after Pastor Johannes Doerfler, founder of the Orphans’ Home Society and first director of the Orphans’ Home, the Fellowship was created to recognize those individuals who continue his tradition of Christian service and stewardship.
You are invited to join those loyal individuals in sustaining LHS’s vital mission. Deferred gifts help underwrite needed programs and services, construct new care and educational facilities, endow special funds that preserve basic programs and provide start-up funding for future organizational initiatives, acquire nursing and assisted living equipment, and purchase necessary healthcare technology. Gifts may also be made to the general endowment. Members receive The Doerfler Fellowship Newsletter, are invited to attend the annual Festival of Life luncheon, and are listed in the annual Donor Celebration List.
