About Lutheran Housing Services
A ministry of Lutheran Homes Society, Lutheran Housing Services was created in 1981 in response to the independent housing needs of seniors. Lutheran Housing Services manages thirteen communities that offer affordable housing to people who are 62 or older.

Retirement apartment complexes are located throughout northwest Ohio and in southeast Michigan.  Many of the units are federally subsidized.  All communities operate as facilities for independent living for eligible seniors.  Each community provides opportunities for recreational and religious programs, social events, outings and daily peer contact.

Calm residential settings are an attractive feature, providing security, quiet, and respect for privacy - important aspects of living at a Lutheran Housing Services community.

Essential Services Provided

• Maintenance
  Exterior - Landscaping, lawn care, snow removal
  Interior - Electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and appliance repair

• Social Services
  Lutheran Housing Services is committed to helping residents maintain their independence. A part-time Social Services Coordinator is on site at the communities to assist residents in procuring meals, home health care, housekeeping, etc. - all which help in maintaining one's independence.  Lutheran Housing Services received the 1999 Award of Excellence from Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing for excellence in their Social Services Coordinator program.

  Several of the communities offer such services.
