Lutheran Memorial Home at Sandusky is committed to enriching the lifestyle of our seniors in an environment of fellowship, warmth and dignity. Following the teachings of Christ, we are called to enhance the physical and spiritual well being of those we serve.

About Lutheran Memorial Home
Lutheran Memorial Home is a values-based Christian community, open to people of all faiths. It is located on the west side of Sandusky, conveniently located just .3 miles from the intersection of State Routes 2 and 6. To keep the program responsive to the needs of those in the community, the Home is certified for both Medicaid and Medicare.

Extended Care
Extended (nursing) care beds are available, staffed with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants. This care is Medicaid and Medicare certified.

Restorative therapy helps residents develop the energy to enjoy activities. Additionally, the exercise program strengthens the heart and lungs, reduces stress levels and helps control weight. These are all important care components that allow residents to maintain their highest practical physical status.

Respite Care
Many people are providing care in their own homes. To give caregivers a chance for "rest breaks," we have designed a respite care program. We offer this service to help people achieve their goal of providing care in their homes as long as possible. Individual caregivers decide how long we can assist them by providing care for their loved one in our Home. 

The Place to Make Home
Along with the care and services provided to meet physical needs, there are also opportunities to promote spiritual growth, participate in a wide range of activities, outings and family functions.
